Version 2
From iCommons wiki
Plans for improvements and added capabilities. Please add your suggestions here!
- Translation facilities
- A broader selection of formats for uploads to culture database and articles
- The ability to upload larger files
- The ability to RSS my own blog entries into the site.
- Facilities to network better through the profile page...
- Identify which nodes they are involved (as an administrator or volunteer)
- Maybe we could have a way to RSVP to attend events in the agenda - and when you have confirmed that you will be attending, this appears on your profile page.
- A function which when you invite someone to join a node they ACTUALLY get an invitation.
- A function which when someone wants to join a node ACTUALLY notifies the node administrator.
- A function on the node itself which enables a node administrator to invite people to join that node, in addition to completely counter intuitive user hostile idea that node administrators must guess that there is an invitation function hidden away on people's profiles.
- A function which enables a node administrator to ACTUALLY make someone a member (and or a co-administrator)
- A negative vote for articles/nodes. This is necessary because when a person reads an article and votes for it then he or she increases her karma. However if one reads an article but does not want to vote for it, because one considers it irrelevant, incoherent and inappropriate then one obtains no karma for having read the article and forming a judgment. This creates a perverse incentive to vote for articles one disagrees with. Therefore there should be a voting system which allows for negative votes, or alternatively a scale.
- RSS feed for the node blogs (this seems to be missing)
- Ability to EDIT node home pages (always, not just during the initial edit period). The node home page is the welcome page, which might change over time.
- Ability to change the administrator for a node (or add people as administrators)
- Ability to edit comments you have made (to fix typos)
- Recent posts [RSS] link on the nodes page, goes to the wrong place.
