[edit] Session 1: An introduction to Open Business Tools
Participants in this speedgeeking session will reveal what their position is within or with regard to Open Business. Following this, Creative Commons' Jon Phillips will take us through the CC+ protocol.
[edit] Session 2: Open Business Think Tank
During this session, the Open Business participants put together a check list of what open business means and what characteristics a business needs to have for it to be considered an 'open business'.
[edit] Session 3: Mars Landing - Collecting Societies Opened
Open business models in the music industry have a strong link to collecting societies. The field is broader than the discussion about collecting societies although at the moment collecting societies are one of the important players.
This session is a panel discussion around the issues at the intersection between the open music business and collecting societies. There have been some significant changes recently in the collecting societies regime and these will be grappled with in this session. At least half of the time in the session will be dedicated to open discussion.
[edit] Session 4: Open Business Think Tank Part 2
The finalisation of the checklist with input from session 3. The checklist should be pared down in this session as opposed to having things added.
Outcome: Checklist on Open Business
[edit] Session 5: Open Consultation
All participants that have open businesses, are interested in starting an open business or have an opinion on open business, this session is for you. Participants will have the opportunity to present their open business ideas or models to multidisciplinary groups, including some famous open business gurus, who will provide feedback on their ideas.
[edit] Session 6: An action agenda for Open Business
This session will be devoted to finalising the Checklist on Open Business. This will then segue into the preparation of feedback for the entire track.
