Minimal energy demand and meeting all demand from renewable sources to lead to a zero net carbon event (measuring carbon from energy use only).
Providing for energy efficient appliances and fittings
- High levels of day-lighting and use of low energy lighting if and where required
- Energy efficient audio system (if such a thing exists)
- Energy efficiency in preparation of food and drink on site
Renewable Energy on-site:
- Create and use battery bank charged by electric car chargers
Renewable Energy off-site:
- Offset through Gold Standard offset scheme

Recycling facilities
- Separate bins for white paper, other paper, glass, plastic, cardboard
Set up of bins at the convention centre as part of pur legacy (if they don't have any) and leave these recycling bins (glass, paper, plastic) behind
Composting facilities
- Very clear instructions to delegates
- Composting facilities to be set up
- Food that composts easily

Reducing the need to travel and providing sustainable alternatives to private car use, resulting in 50% lower impact than benchmark
